If you are encountering problems with your Alert Logic® Virtual Patches for AWS WAF, you should do the following:
- Place the Alert Logic rule group in Count mode instead of Block mode. This will remove active protection while you troubleshoot.
- Use CloudWatch metrics to review how often the rules are being triggered to see if they do have a problem. The Alert Logic rule group you are subscribed to (the set of Wordpress Virtual Patch rules) will show up as a single item.
- If you are not sure if your problem is related to the Alert Logic rules, your web ACLs, or your custom rules, contact AWS first. If you are sure it is your Alert Logic rules, contact Alert Logic via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: If AWS cannot solve the problem, they may escalate to Alert Logic.
