When and how often does Alert Logic perform appliance and product maintenance?

Alert Logic® updates appliance software and makes product changes as needed throughout the year. When patches are available, we push them to appliances as soon as possible within our maintenance windows. Updates are designed for deployment without the need for on-site intervention by the customer. Customers will be notified via email prior to a release with information on the type and duration of the maintenance window and again upon completion of the update.

The following maintenance windows may be used in support of Alert Logic products and services:

Standard Change Window

Alert Logic performs standard changes through a standard change window. Standard changes are defined as those with a lower risk profile and no expected interruption to service. Completion times for updates may be varied based on data size.

The standard change window falls within the following hours:

• US: Monday - Friday 20:00 PM – Sunday 03:00 AM (Central Time)
• UK: Monday - Friday 21:00 PM – Sunday 04:00 AM (UTC)

Emergency Change Window

Alert Logic works to complete emergency changes as quickly as possible, and with the least interruption to your service. Alert Logic will notify you as needed when emergency changes are required.

Major Change Window

Alert Logic will implement major changes, which are those with a higher risk profile, during a major change window as required. This window is during the following hours: 

• US: Saturday 20:00 PM – Sunday 03:00 AM (Central Time)
• UK: Saturday 21:00 PM – Sunday 04:00 AM (UTC)

As major changes may cause service interruption, Alert Logic will communicate these activities to you in advance of the change window. Please see the Alert Logic Public Status Page to track maintenance updates.
