Alert Logic® updates appliance software and makes product changes as needed throughout the year. When patches are available, we push them to appliances as soon as possible within our maintenance windows. Updates are designed for deployment without the need for on-site intervention by the customer. Customers will be notified via email prior to a release with information on the type and duration of maintenance window and again upon completion of the update.
The following maintenance windows may be used in support of Alert Logic products and services:
Standard Change Window
Standard changes, including those with a lower risk profile, will be implemented only between the following hours:
- US: 8PM – 3AM (CST/CDT), Monday – Friday
- UK: 9PM – 4AM (UTC), Monday – Friday
Changes during this window are designed to be non-interruptive to service.
Security Content Updates
Security content and signature updates to Alert Logic products are conducted on a regular weekly schedule as follows. Completion times vary based on update volume.

Emergency Change Window
When an emergency change is required, these changes will be executed using our best judgment, with the least interruption to service. Notifications will be sent as needed.
Major Change Window
Major changes, including those with a higher risk profile, will be implemented only between the following hours:
- US: Saturday 8PM – Sunday 3AM (CST/CDT)
- UK: Saturday 9PM – Sunday 4 AM (UTC)
Some major changes may cause service interruptions. Alert Logic will communicate to you regarding major changes with at least six business days advance notice.
