Getting the Most Out of the Alert Logic Help Center | Best Practices

Learn about Alert Logic's Help Center and all of the resources that come with it, below. These include submitting tickets, checking ticket statuses, following Community content, and more.

Getting Started

When you arrive at the main Help Center page, you will see a number of options to access support information, including Documentation, the Knowledge Base, the LEARN Training Portaland our Community. Most information is accessible to the public, but if you want to post, comment, or submit a ticket, you'll need to log in to the Help Center with the same credentials you use to log in to the Alert Logic product interface.

At the moment, LEARN is accessed with a separate account, but we're working on syncing that to the same account soon. To create a LEARN account, navigate to the LEARN Training Portal and click on "If you are not registered yet, please register here" in the upper right hand corner of the page.

To log in to the Help Center, click on the light-colored dropdown in the upper right hand corner of the page that says "Sign In". You will be prompted for your login credentials. Remember, these are the same as your Alert Logic product login credentials. Now you have access to everything within the Help Center.

Submit a Help Center Ticket

Just to the left of the user dropdown on the upper right hand side of the page, you will see a link entitled "Submit a Request". Clicking on this link takes you to the web form for submitting new Help Center tickets.

View Your Tickets

A list of all tickets you have submitted can be found by clicking on the light colored dropdown in the upper right hand corner of the home Help Center page that now contains your name, and then choosing "My Activities". You can search for specific tickets and filter on current status. All tickets submitted since the Help Center implementation in June 2016 are available for viewing. You can also view any tickets that you've been CC'ed on.

View Your Contributions

Any questions, answers, comments, or any other Community content that you have authored are available for review. While on the "My Activities" page, choose "Contributions" to the right of "Requests" at the top of the page to see your involvement. It's rumored that posters of quality content receive limited edition Alert Logic swag!

Follow Content You Care About

When you find content that is relevant to you, you have the option to click on the "Follow" button in the upper right hand corner of the article, question, or other topic.

When following Knowledge Base articles, you have the option to follow an entire section and opt in to receiving email notifications when a new post is added or when a new post or comment on a post in that section is added.

You also have the option to follow a single article and its updates.

When following Answers and any other Community topics, you have the option to follow new topic postings or new topic postings and new comments made to those topics.

You also have the option to follow a single question or topic and its corresponding comments.

You can view any content that you're following by navigating to the "My Activities" page and choosing "Following" at the top of the page, to the right of "Contributions".
