Subscribe to Cloud Insight in AWS Marketplace & Overcome Known Error Conditions | How To


The following article describes how to subscribe to the Alert Logic® Cloud Insight™ product within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, as well as how to overcome any potential known error conditions that you may face as you subscribe.

NOTE: Cloud Insight is available for purchase in AWS Marketplace as of November 2016. Learn about this update at: Cloud Insight in AWS Marketplace | Software Updates.


To subscribe to Cloud Insight via AWS Marketplace, complete the following steps:

  1. On the AWS Marketplace Cloud Insight listing, click Continue.

  2. Click Subscribe.

  3. Click Set Up Your Account.

  4. If you are a new Alert Logic customer, proceed to step #5. If you are an existing Alert Logic customer, proceed to step #9.

  5. Fill out the Finalize Your Subscription form and click Finalize Your Subscription.

    NOTE: If you have ever previously subscribed to an Alert Logic product or service, do not use the previously used email address. If you use the same email address, you may come across an error, which will tell you that your account already exists. Use a different email address to subscribe in order to avoid this error.

    Known Error: "Please fill out the missing fields."
    Reason: You've left one or more of the required fields blank - all fields except Your Phone Number are required.
    Solution: Fill out all of the required fields and click Finalize Subscription.

    Known Error: "Forbidden"
    Reason: Once you have signed up for Cloud Insight in AWS Marketplace, if you attempt to reload this page or copy the page's URL and attempt to go back to this page, your request will fail. This error occurs because you have already signed up for the product and cannot duplicate your request.

  6. You should receive an email from Alert Logic with the subject "Welcome to Alert Logic Cloud Insight". Find that email and click on the appropriate link.

    NOTE: If you accidentally misspelled your email address, at this point you may click Oops, I misspelled my email address! at the bottom of the Confirm your Subscription form. The next message, asking "Did you make a mistake?", provides you with further instructions on how to proceed. Click Go to my AWS subscriptions and follow those instructions.

    Known Error: "Your AWS integration token has expired."
    Reason: Because you did not click on the confirmation link within the Alert Logic welcome email and finalize your Cloud Insight subscription within 24 hours of receiving the email, your link has expired.
    Solution: Click Take me to AWS and start the subscription process again.

  7. Enter a password and click Create Password.

    NOTE: Alert Logic password strength requirements include a length of at least 12 characters with three of the four following possible character types: upper case characters; lower case characters; numbers; special characters (!"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_{|}~`).

  8. Enter the email address you provided and your new password into the Alert Logic product portal log in form. Click Log In Now.

  9. Existing Alert Logic customers with live Alert Logic accounts, click I already have an Alert Logic account at the bottom of the Finalize Your Subscription form.

  10. Enter your email address and password into the Alert Logic product portal log in form and click Log In Now.
