Alert Logic® utilizes soft license enforcement. We recognize that a customer’s IT environment may have occasional spikes above their licensed tier, perhaps due to a security event or hardware migration. The expectation is that these events are temporary and will take no more than five business days within a 30-day rolling window to remedy.
If an overage occurs, Alert Logic does not degrade product functionality, disable collection, or prohibit installation of additional log sources. However, if the overage is sustained, Alert Logic will contact the customer to provide guidance on log collection best practices to help reduce log volume within the licenses tier or, if appropriate, recommend a higher tier commensurate with the sustained log volume.
