Agent updates happen on an as-needed basis for new capabilities, agent stability, and more. The agent releases have been occurring every two to three months on average. For most customers, the agent - after initial installation - should be considered part of the Alert Logic® managed service because the agent can auto-update once installed and running.
For those customers with more strict rules on change control, the Alert Logic console contains settings for restricting the time of day to allow updates or to freeze on a specific agent version until the change control process for the company can be properly followed for agent updates.
