Note: The following information applies only to those customers who subscribe to the Alert Logic® SIEMless Threat Management™ product.
The Alert Logic console has a new Health Console that provides you with details on the health of your networks, appliances, and agents, and that allows you to subscribe to notifications regarding your account's health status.
The Health Console can be found under the Health main menu tab.
The Health Summary page provides you at-a-glance details of your network health, appliance health, and agent coverage and health. You can filter the data based on deployment by clicking the Deployment drop-down in the top left corner. Be default, all deployments are utilized in the bar charts on this page.
For more information on any of the health topics, click View... under the respective bar chart.
The Network Health page provides you with detailed data and information about all networks in your environment. Filter by Health Level, Platform, and Deployment to see the exact networks you're looking for, or scroll through the feed to see what networks need your attention. By default, the networks are categorized by Unhealthy and Healthy.
For more information on a specific network's health, click the Details down arrow. You will see any recommended configuration actions to take to improve the network's health.
When you are ready to remediate an unhealthy network, click Remediate. You will be automatically redirected to the Remediations section of the Alert Logic console to complete your configuration actions.
Note: Even healthy networks can have recommended configuration actions to remediate that will improve your health posture.
Appliance & Agent Health
The Appliances & Agents Health page provides details on all appliances and agents within your environment and whether they are collecting or not, as well as what hosts do not have agents associated with them. Filter by Appliances, Agents, Hosts with no agent, Status, Platform, and Deployment. By default, the appliances and agents are categorized by Not Collecting and Collecting.
For more information on a specific appliance or agent's health, you can quickly view the bar chart depicting its traffic from the last 24 hours, or click the Details down arrow for more information. you will see any recommended configuration actions to take to improve the appliance or agent's health.
As with network health above, when you are ready to remediate an appliance or agent that is not collecting, click Remediate.
The Notifications page allows you to configure health notifications for your accounts and the accounts you mange, and to see the currently configured notification settings.
Health status notifications can be sent to you based on the frequency that you request. Click on the Health Status bar, and then check the Send me the Health Status for this account box. Choose whether you want notifications to be generated once a day, once a week, or once a month, and then click Save.
