Alert Logic® has released a new software developer portal to help customers build automation and integrations that embed and extend Alert Logic’s platform within your business. With a new centralized set of tools and solutions, you can more easily integrate Alert Logic with any tool via API. The new developer portal includes a comprehensive toolkit of command-line tools and programming language integrations, as well as a rich library of use cases so you can get started quickly.
Access the Developer Portal and Tools
The new software developer portal is located at https://developer.alertlogic.com/.
This new developer portal replaces and improves previously existing API documentation, and existing tools continue to be available within this new portal.
Within the portal, you can easily access a Get Started guide that will help you understand the different types of toolkits and options available and how to use the portal itself.
Once you are familiar with the portal, you can move forward using the tools available – namely the Alert Logic Command Line Tool (CLI) and the Alert Logic Software Development Kit (Python SDK). These tools can be quickly downloaded, and detailed documentation is available to help you understand how to use them and see examples.
Solve Common Use Cases with Documented Procedures
In addition to general documentation on the CLI and SDK tools, the developer portal provides clear and concise instructions on using this toolkit to solve common use cases. In the Use Cases menu, you can navigate through a robust set of automation, tuning, and integration use cases, helping you optimize your use of these tools.
For example, suppose you want to automate incident management with ServiceNow. Simply navigate to Use Cases > Integrate Response > Ticketing > ServiceNow to access the new ServiceNow guide, which provides technical details and the steps needed to create a customized integration between Alert Logic and ServiceNow.
Numerous use cases are already available to help you quickly get started with the software developer tools, and new use cases will continue to be added and highlighted within the portal.
