Alert Logic® now offers support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Fargate, a serverless compute engine for containers that works with both Amazon Elastic Container Services and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service.
Updated Container Support for AWS Fargate
The existing container security solution enables Alert Logic to protect both the container and the underlying infrastructure with a single Alert Logic agent container install. This level of protection requires that our container run in Privilege Mode, and this level of access has not been permitted in AWS Fargate.
Now, Alert Logic can deploy our agent container as a sidecar to the Fargate cluster. Using the metadata stream provided by AWS, Alert Logic can identify each container uniquely, which allows us to collect the data we need without compromising the integrity of customer environments that we do not protect.
Deploying the Agent Container in Fargate
Utilize the Deploy the Alert Logic Agent Container for AWS Fargate documentation to deploy the Alert Logic agent container into Fargate and allow Fargate data streams to be accessed by Alert Logic containers.
