Health notifications were introduced to the Alert Logic console in October 2021, allowing Managed Detection and Response customers the ability to enable email notifications on the health of an agent, appliance, or collector. You can now get more granular when assigning notification rules by enabling health notifications on individual assets, as well.
Enable Health Notifications at Asset Level
You can now enable health notifications at the asset level within the Alert Logic console. At (navigation menu) > Manage > Notifications > + Create a Notification () > Health, complete the required fields in the Details step and select Next to move to the Scope step of the notification creation process. In this step, during Define scope, you can now define individual assets as part of the notification’s scope. Within the Select Asset Filters drop-down, you can select assets as granularly as hosts.
Select your desired assets and the Asset Name table will automatically populate with those assets. Select an asset in the table to enable notifications by selecting the On option and clicking Apply. You can also use the search bar at the far right of the page if you know specific ID or host names.
When you have enabled health notifications for an asset, a check box will appear beside it in the Asset Name table to confirm successful enablement. To enable more than one asset in the table, select each asset individually and repeat the steps of selecting On under Enable notifications and clicking Apply.
When you have enabled health notifications on all desired assets, click Next and complete the required details in the Delivery step. Select Save and you have successfully enabled health notifications at the asset level.
