Date Last Seen vs. Last Scanned
What is the difference between the Last Seen date and Last Scanned date found on the List of Vulnerabilities report, Vulnerability Detail csv file download?
-
Last Scanned is the timestamp of the most recent execution of a vulnerability scan for the specific asset (host, external IP, etc). For cloud configuration exposures, the Last Scanned is the timestamp of the most recent execution of cloud configuration checks for the specific deployment that the asset (AMI, S3, user, etc) is associated with.
Last Seen is internal timestamp that is calculated to determine when the vulnerability instance was last seen in the daily snapshot of our Business Intelligence (BI) system that powers our reports. It is primarily used internally for counting vulnerability instances over time and trending.
