API queries
AnsweredLets say you just started a new job and are reviewing customers for the first time.
Can the following be accomplished through Alert Logic's API?
query a given customer to know how many licenses in total are active?
query how many are hosts vs appliances?
determine how many hosts are active vs inactive, whether they are protecting, and what host or appliance they are assigned to?

Yes, all of these use cases can be accomplished through our API! You can use the API to call out to various services, such as Assets Query and Management, Sources, Credentials, Usage, and Scan Results. Thank you for the response. Is there anyway to pinpoint license information with an API? Like total licenses, licenses in use, licenses expired, licenses about to expire? It would be nice to have a method to get this information quickly for customers who might be planning for more licenses and need to know what they are using and how many they have available. Or maybe there is another area that has this information on hand?

Licensing information is available via the Ekko API. You can find that documentation here: https://console.account.alertlogic.co.uk/users/api/ekko/#api-Usage-GetEntitlements
