Emerging Threats Moving to Fortra.com

Fortra® is pleased to announce the expansion of Alert Logic’s emerging threats process to include security coverage from all Fortra products, now on fortra.com. In the new Fortra Security & Trust Center, emerging threats dating back to the beginning of 2024 have been posted and include information on how Fortra is providing security coverage through several Fortra product lines, such as Alert Logic, Tripwire, and Fortra VM.

As a result of this expansion, emerging threats will no longer be posted on the Alert Logic support site beginning in 2025. To continue receiving emerging threat notifications, Alert Logic customers should subscribe to emerging threats on fortra.com, where they can still get all the information on urgent exposures and Alert Logic security coverage. What are emerging threats?

Fortra continuously identifies threats and exposures to add to our growing library of signatures. While this is an ongoing, daily effort for our threat intelligence and security operations teams, occasionally an urgent security issue arises that needs to be addressed immediately. These urgent security issues are declared as “emerging threats” and treated with utmost urgency, requiring immediate action from teams across Fortra to keep our customers secure and informed.

How can I be notified of emerging threats?

Simply visit https://www.fortra.com/security/subscribe and complete the subscription form on the page.

1. Enter your email address.
2. Under Subscribe to, select Emerging Threats.
3. (Optional) You can select to subscribe to the following additional notifications:
   • Fortra Product CVEs: Security concerns impacting Fortra products
   • Fortra Discovered CVEs: Fortra-issued CVE IDs and security advisories for vulnerabilities in our own products and other products
4. Click Notify Me.

If I am subscribed to emerging threats from Alert Logic, do I still need to subscribe to emerging threats from Fortra?

Yes. Your subscription will not carry over to the new emerging threats page on fortra.com. The emerging threats page on the Alert Logic support site will be deprecated on December 31, 2024, and new emerging threats will only be posted on fortra.com beginning January 1, 2025.

Will emerging threats on fortra.com contain the same information?

The expanded emerging threat articles still contain all the information you’re used to — information about the vulnerability, which products and versions are affected, the mitigation steps you can take to protect yourself, and how Fortra is providing security coverage to notify you of your own vulnerability or possible exploitation.

When should I take action?

While emerging threats will continue to be posted on the Alert Logic support site through the end of 2024, we encourage you to check out the new Fortra Security & Trust Center now to view all the latest information and learn more about Fortra, your cybersecurity ally.
