Set Up Automated Notifications for Web Security Manager Appliance Statuses

The following article describes how to set up an automated email notification similar to Alert Logic® Threat Manager™ collection alerts for when a Web Security Manager™ appliance is no longer in the “OK” status.

Note: The following information applies only to customers with Alert Logic® Cloud Defender™ or Alert Logic Web Security Manager™ entitlements.

Solution

1. In the Alert Logic console, click Configuration, and then click WAF.
   
   
2. In the left-side panel, click Appliances.
   
   
3. To the far right of the applicable appliance, click Manage Appliances.
   
   
4. On the left-side panel of the display box, under System, click Configuration.
   
   
   
   
5. In order to fill in the highlighted sections shown above, review the help documentation by clicking on Help on the bottom right of the display page.
   
   
6. Find section 1.4 SNMP and apply the appropriate information into the highlighted boxes.
   
   
   
   
7. Once completed, click Save Settings at the bottom right of the display page.
