The following article describes how to reset your password for the Alert Logic® console.
Note: An Alert Logic account will be locked after five failed login attempts. The lockout period is 30 minutes. You can either reset your password to unlock your account, or if you believe you remember your password, wait until the lockout period expires and attempt to log in again.
Solution
- Access the log in screen for the Alert Logic console.
- Click Forgot Your Password?
- On the Reset Your Password page, enter your email address in the Email Address field and click Reset Password.
- If the email address is associated with an Alert Logic account, you will receive an email from Alert Logic with instructions to reset your password. Follow the instructions in this email to reset your password and log in to the Alert Logic console.
Note: Alert Logic requires that your password be changed every 90 days and that it adheres to the following complexity requirements:
- Cannot be identical to current or up to four most recent previous passwords
- Length of at least 12 characters
- Contain three of the four possible character types:
- Upper case character
- Lower case character
- Number
- Special character ( !"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[]^_`{|}~ )
If you have followed the steps above and did not receive an email or are still not able to log in, consider the following:
- If you do not see the email in your inbox, check your junk or spam folder for the email.
- Double-check the email address entered to reset the password. If there is another possible email address associated with the account, try the alternate email address.
- If you still cannot log in, call Alert Logic Support to check if your account is locked.
