How do parent/child relationships work for Alert Logic accounts?

It is important to understand the relationship between parent and child accounts to understand how users are provided access to account data. Consider the following example: 

• Account A as the parent account  
• Account B as the child account of Account A  
• Account C as the child account of Account B (sometimes referred to as “child of child account” or “grandchild account”)  

If a user account is created at Account A (parent account level), the user will have access to both Account B and Account C.  

If a user account is created in Account B (child account level), then the user will have access to Account C but will not have access to Account A, regardless of what role has been applied.   

If a user account is created in Account C (child of child/grandchild account level), then the user will only have access to Account C. Account A and Account B are off-limits to this account hierarchically.
