Alert Logic Managed Detection & Response (MDR) and Cloud Defender customers now have access to enhancements to the self-service PCI ASV scanning capabilities in Fortra VM including:
- New PCI Progress Widget
- Auto-Generate Attestation of Scan Compliance for a Scan Group
Read on to learn more about each enhancement.
New PCI Progress Widget
You can now access a new PCI Progress widget that visually represents how close the PCI ASV scan is to being compliant. This widget can be found on the Scan Overview tab for VM scans and the Details tab for WAS scans.
The progress bar and counts for PCI Failures provide immediate visibility into vulnerabilities that require a remediation or dispute action to receive a compliant scan. The PCI Requires 3b Notes bar helps you track vulnerabilities that require additional documentation per PCI DSS standards.
Note: You can click the PCI Failures and PCI Requires 3b Notes links to access the list of relevant vulnerabilities.
Auto-Generate Attestation of Scan Compliance for a Scan Group
From a new or existing scan group, you can now auto-generate the Attestation of Scan Compliance report upon scan completion. You can access the Scan Group page in Fortra VM.
- Navigate to > Configure > Fortra VM PCI Scanning.
- Click New scan group or click the name of an existing scan group.
- Under Report Options, toggle Auto-generate Reports to the ON position.
- Select a report from the drop-down, such as PCI ASV Scan Attestation of Scan Compliance, and add the report to the list of Reports to generate.
To auto-generate the the Attestation of Scan Compliance report, you must also fill out the PCI Report Details and PCI Scope Details sections for the scan group.
Note: The PCI Report Details and PCI Scope Details for the scan group will be used when creating the official reports for the certification workflow.
