11/10/2025: Enhancement - Individual Asset Selection for Collector Health Notifications

Fortra's Alert Logic has introduced improvements to the Alert Logic console for selecting individual collectors when configuring health notifications.

Background

Previously, you could only configure collector health notifications based on when a collector's status was reporting Offline or Not Collecting, which was global for all collectors on your account. 

Collector Health Notification Improvements

With these new improvements, you can now configure health notifications for specific collectors, providing you with greater control over which heath notifications Alert Logic is sending and to whom.

To configure health notifications for individual collectors:

1. In the Alert Logic console, click the menu icon (). 
2. Click Manage, and then click Notifications. 
3. On the Alerts Notifications tab, click Create a Notification, and then click Health.
4. In the Name box, enter a name for the notification.
5. From the Collector list, select which collector this notification is for.
6. Click NEXT.

7. For Collector Status, select Offline, Not Collecting, or both checkboxes. A list of your collectors will appear grouped by their deployment status.

   

8. Select which collectors you want to enable the health notification for. 
9. Click NEXT.
10. On the Delivery tab, select the users who will receive this health notification.
11. Click SAVE.
