Alert Logic has introduced enhancements to the Alert Logic console that enable deployment filters to be added to Incident Notifications, making it easier to notify the appropriate individuals about incidents associated with a specific deployment.
Background
The Notifications feature in the Alert Logic console can alert you, other subscribed users, or a third-party application when incidents occur that meet specific criteria.
Previously, Incident Notifications could only be filtered by account, severity and escalation status.
Incident Notifications Improvements
With these new improvements, you can now configure Incident Notifications to be filtered by deployments that are configured within the account.
To configure an Incident Notification for a specific deployment:
- In the Alert Logic console, click the menu icon (
). - Click
Manage, and then click Notifications.
- On the Alerts Notifications tab, click
Create a Notification, and then click Incident.
- In the Name box, enter a name for the notification.
- If you want to send the notification, leave Notification Is Active turned on. Turn it off if you want to save the definition but not activate the notification yet.
- Under Deployments, select one or more deployments for which you want to receive notifications. If nothing is selected, then it will apply to all deployments.
- Configure the Recipients of the notification.
- Click SAVE.
