An updated version of Fortra EDR is available for Fortra XDR customers, available immediately in the Fortra Endpoint Manager. This version is recommended for all XDR customers.
Note: This update does not affect the Alert Logic agent or Extended Endpoint agent, and does not apply to Alert Logic MDR or Cloud Defender customers.
Existing users of Fortra EDR can upgrade their existing agents using the procedure below. This update will not be applied automatically. For more information about Fortra XDR, see the Additional Resources section below.

Installing Fortra EDR Updates
You can configure the version of Fortra EDR installed by the Fortra Agent using Endpoint Manager. The version of Fortra EDR is defined in a Module definition, which can be assigned to individual Endpoints or to an endpoint Group.
To update an existing module definition to use the new Fortra EDR version:
- In the Alert Logic console, click the Configure menu item, and then click Endpoint Manager.
- Click the Modules menu item.
- Click anywhere on a row for a module with the EDR Capability to edit the module definition.
- Select version v9.0.0.0028 from the Installer list.
- Click SAVE.
Agents using this module definition will be updated automatically to the new version.

The Endpoint Manager User Guide includes information about creating additional module definitions and assigning a Module to an endpoint or group of endpoints. Using multiple modules, you can upgrade endpoints individually or a group of test devices.
