On the 24th of September 2025, Alert Logic released a new Application Registry integration with Snowflake on AWS, allowing customers to monitor their Snowflake data warehouse logs with vastly improved collection speed over the legacy Amazon S3 Log Collector.
This integration works for both the login_history and sessions event types, though we recommend creating separate SNS topics and deploying separate collectors for each type.
To get started deploying your Snowflake on AWS collector, navigate to the Application Registry, click on the AWS icon, and at the bottom you will see the configuration page for Snowflake.
A few points to note:
• The parser looks for timestamps in the following format: 2025-09-09 06:02:29.415 -0700
• The parser skips the first line in the file, which should be a CSV header row
For customers currently using the legacy collector, note that the trust relationship for IAM roles is different for Application Registry S3 collectors. See Configure Amazon S3 Log Collector for guidance on setting up your collector.
