As of August 24, 2022, a new configuration remediation is enabled for all Alert Logic customers using Microsoft Azure RBAC (role-based access control) roles. This feature triggers a remediation in the Alert Logic console warning that an Azure RBAC role is schedule to expire within the next 30 days.
New Remediation on Expiring RBAC Roles
Health remediations are found in the Alert Logic console at > Respond > Health. The new remediation around an expiring RBAC role appears under the Unhealthy: Remediations category of the Health page, and you can filter for Category: Configuration to narrow down your data.
The remediation is titled Update deployment permissions and will note in Details that Azure deployment discovery will stop when credentials expire. This remediation is a confirmation that your Azure RBAC role is scheduled to expire within the next 30 days.
When you see this remediation, update your Azure RBAC role. Once you've updated the Azure RBAC role, return to the remediation in the Health page to Conclude the remediation.
Note: For guidance on completing this, reference the Azure Role Guide, found in the Alert Logic console at > Configure > Deployments > select the desired Azure deployment > Azure Role.
